YES! This is Awesome! Just don't get it wet.  : )

saw this a while ago. what they dont tell you is the gallon of resin that it is soaked in to give it structural strength. so you could get it wet no problems.. in the intro they show a surfboard made the same way. the cardboard just gives a skeleton for the resin....

So it's basically a glue guitar.

These kinds of videos pop up all the time on the net of guitars made of everything and anything. I'll stick to the tried and true real wood thank you.

C'mon you guys, where is your sense of adventure?

These are not made of wood and it seems that some pretty darn good players like them a lot.

No problem with metal Reso guitars. They are very nice. When it comes to a guitar, cardboard/glue and plastic will not do.

BTW Look up Rustacaster on Google, He makes some nice metal Teles too.

I would love to have a James Trussart guitar, especially a Rustacaster.  One day I will have one!  As soon as I can round up $7,000.  I bet he as sales or coupons though.

There's a couple of guys over on the TDPRI Guitar forum that have made one out of metal and aluminum. If I had a decent welding machine, I would build one myself.

It would be easy to do a CBG with some thin sheet material, drill and rivets. Go for it. Jut don't use cardboard for the neck Hahaha.

A couple of metal guitars to look at.

Don't waste your money.

I bought a similar one from Tractor Supply Co. a few years ago. It wouldn't weld 1/16ths steel flat stock. Worthless.

If want a good welding machine, you'll need at least 500 bucks.

custom CNC 5 axis carved aluminium guitar body.... looks very nice!!

That's a good looking one. Fender Custom Shop made a few aluminum Strats several years ago that didn't sound good to most people.

People have expectations of how something should be and are often disappointed in the end. Wood is either resonant or not which can be overcome with great pickups. Metal seems to be harder to deal with. I love the sound of a old National Resonator. Some of the pie pan reso's that I've seen and heard sound good, a lot of them leave much to be desired. That undesirable metal tone is hard to mask.
