OK so I got real tired of this fret thing... can't do them and don't have the time so I wanted something I could do in 1 hour. The tops are ruff and maybe there are some others out there but here it is..

Wel ALRIGHHHHHHHHHHHHT! :-)
To be honest, I didn't care for them at first glance....but then I saw the box and I got it. This thing is incredible and the fact that you're using electrical staples pulls it all together.

You know how some cigar shops and clubs will hang a CBG on the wall for decor....this would be perfect behind the counter at the old fashioned local hardware store.

Congrats on a great build!
Thanks a lot... I really just wanted to share the fret part with CBN.. something different and maybe someone can find something even better...
That thisg is absolutely bursting with Mojo.
Now thats what I call a jumbo fret!! Good idea, I really like the less refined tricks better than the super polished how close to a real guitar can I make it cbg, and yours really fits that bill. Good job all around.
Those are cool looking. I was going to try smaller ones myself, but I like the look. I usually only use the first 5 frets anyway - the rest is all slide. Nice work
That is one of the most beautiful monstrosities I have ever seen. Good work.
thats freakin awesome, we've done staple frets before but we used regular swingline paper staples, fine for our 1 strings not so much for the others, think you may have just showed us a solution. where did you get those?
That's wild - I also really like the cable connectors for string trees - very nice touch.
Located in the Heavy Electric Isle/ contractor electric or where the fuse boxes are located at Home Depot..

I pre-drilled the holes, cut the staples down, a bit of glue and hammer them in. Lightly.. My main concern was getting these drilled next to the edge of the wood... because this was already built and I didn't want to mess this up and have to remake the neck... Thanks again..
that is definitely clever, young man....z.
Hey Hip Bone... remember when CBG's and homemade music was about digging around in the basement or garage for stuff you could slap together and hopefully hold a tune?? Roots music, not corporation music? Your frets are what its all about, buddy, nice job. Lately I look around the site and wonder if guys think they're trying out for a spot on the Fender assembly line.
